Keep your chin up, it’s a postive poster post

We like it when someone thinks outside the frame. Positive Posters founder Nick Hallam is doing just that with his non-profit international poster competition run by himself and a group of volunteers based in Melbourne.

We’re always excited to see someone using creative ideas for social change – Positive Posters is taking the artistic talents of graphic designers and allowing them to make a positive difference in a non-commercial way.

Guided by this year’s competition theme, ‘A Glass Half Full’, the entries have been streaming in from around the globe, and the winning poster will be plastered across Melbourne (that’s last year’s winner in yellow in the pic above), with a few sent off around the world. The poster is meant to inspire and hopefully brighten someone’s day.

We also like the idea of having some posters around the streets that aren’t trying to sell anything.

All the rest of the competition details and some of the posters can be found on their very good-looking site. It’ll make you smile.
