Happy Christmas Slowpokes

We sat around for ages scratching our heads trying to think what you'd like for Christmas. So, hope you like it.

Third Generation.

This conventional produce stall at Vic Market is old-school. They round down the prices, always add an extra passionfruit/nectarine/whatever, will give you six apples (instead of a kilo) if that's what you want, can tell you from where all the produce comes, will say 'not this week' if you've got your eye on a pineapple that's not as sweet as you might hope and will ask when you're planning to eat those mangoes - so they can gauge what level of ripeness to give you.

So, for all those items that you don't buy from your local organic grocer, head straight here.
And happy Christmas.
See you next year.

Slow guides

The Slow Guides are for anybody who wants to slow down and live it up, seachange without shifting postcode. They celebrate all that’s local, natural, traditional, sensory and most of all gratifying about living in Sydney and Melbourne. Click on a book for a preview.

How to buy a book

Start off slow and get your book the old-fashioned way; pop into a store and say g’day. But if you’re too entranced with what’s happening in your garden, or too preoccupied gazing on a cloud, you could always order one online.
